Samarinda, 29 November 2025 – Midtown Hotel Samarinda held an environmental activity entitled "Midtown Goes 9reen" on Saturday, 29 November 2025 in the courtyard of the Samarinda Religi Center, starting at 08.00–11.30 WITA. This program is a series of Road to Midtown Hotel Samarinda's 9th Anniversary which was held as a form of concern for National Tree Planting Day which falls on November 28.
This activity was carried out in collaboration with Sobat Bumi Indonesia Regional Samarinda, and supported by Kesbangpol Samarinda City, Environmental Service (DLH) Samarinda City, and the Religious Harmony Forum (FKUB) Samarinda City. This collaboration emphasizes the important role of all elements in maintaining environmental sustainability in the city of Samarinda.
The activity was short and structured, starting from registration, opening, committee remarks, FKUB remarks, to remarks from the General Manager of Midtown Hotel Samarinda. Next, plaques were handed over, educational material on tree planting, symbolic tree planting, group distribution and mass planting were carried out before the event closed.
The General Manager of Midtown Hotel Samarinda, Imam Mustofa, said, "Midtown Goes 9reen is our concrete step to make a positive contribution towards Midtown Hotel Samarinda's journey towards its 9th year. We believe that birthdays are not only about celebrations, but also about providing benefits to the environment and society. Through this greening action, we want to make the momentum of the 9th anniversary a stronger start to play a role in keeping the city of Samarinda green and sustainable."
Through this activity, Midtown Hotel Samarinda hopes to further strengthen the community's collective education and awareness regarding the importance of maintaining environmental sustainability, as well as building solid synergy between communities, agencies and industry players in creating greener city spaces.
